We decided that it was probably a good idea to have lessons - something about trying to teach yourself to ski at the top of a mountain really didn't appeal to me anymore. Last Tuesday several more people we knew arrived in the town and one of them was also a beginner. He, OP and I booked the services of Jeremy for a few sessions. We were able to use our new found skills on the nearby slopes at Villeneuve and Chantermerle; which had much better snow on the 'easy' slopes.

Oh how fun!
You're brave for even attempting. Skiing is one activity I haven't tried and it would probably take a good deal of convincing to get me to do it. All I can imagine is me rolling down a steep never-ending hill.
Carmen, I rolled down several hills!
I'm happy you were able to have some fun, even without much of the darn snow. It's probably snowing like crazy now. We had snow here in Texas last weekend, can you believe it.
Anyway, glad you mad it back home safely!
Hey Creyole, I did have fun! I'm glad I made it back too - there were times I thought I wouldn't!
Still, I haven't been put off and hope to go again next year.
