It all became too much

And so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I cut off most of the the relaxed ends from the back of my hair. It was fairly difficult, as I was doing it mainly by touch; I did stop short of cutting all of the relaxed hair, although I was very tempted.

I'm not sure of how much of a visual difference it has made, as the ends from the centre and top of my had seem to cover the area that I trimmed. Still, I feel better and that's what matters, right?

In comparison to your July 15th pic your hair looks much thicker and healthier, all from cutting the permed ends huh? I think you'll start noticing more changes.

You go girl!!!!

Your happiness is definitely what matters!

It looks great and you will definitely start to see more changes. But heck, there are so many changes that can be seen already.

I think it was a VERY good call to snip those ends. My consultant say the locks develop and mature better and with fewer problems once those ends are gone!

And I'm glad you feel better about it.

I did the same thing when I was 2 strand twisting the first time and transitioning from texturized hair. I get way too much of a high from cutting my hair, which is why it's never been longer than shoulder length in spite of the fact that it grows fast!

Meikmeika and Muslimah, it's funny you should both say that because it actually feels thicker. Not sure how that is possible, but I'm not complaining.

Goodnapps, I am on a roll now!

Yep BR, I think it was a good idea too. The bunched ends were really bugging me. They are not perfect, but they are a whole lot better.
LOL @ your cutting high. I too really enjoyed having the scissors in my hands!

Hey Mel, This looks wonderful. The hair looks so much fuller with those straight ends gone. Who cares about lenght at this point. It will come with time. I Love IT!!!!
