Two strand twist is the new black!

As promised, here are the results...

I LOVE IT!

Brunsli suggested the two strand twist after my curly incident last week and Leighann agreed with her. It gives a much softer look than plaiting and it's easier to do, which is exactly what they said!

Thank You both - you know your stuff :-)

i like how this looks! this is what i did for the first 2/3 months as well,it's a nice loose wave instead of that tight curl we get with the rollers...

Oh yes, I must agree, the two strand twist gives you a very soft classy look. Work it girl!

BTW, how did you keep the ends from coming a loose?

I love your blog!! I just got my hair sisterlocked on 1/4/2007 and have started battling with dryness and itchiness. It was all I could do yesterday not to slap some oil on my hair! You mentioned using water with tea tree oil to help with the itchiness - how many drops of oil do you add to the water? BTW, your hair looks great.

Cheleskilove - Thank You. I just don't think I'm ready for curlers yet. I'm trying to be as gentle with my hair as I can be.

Creyole - Thank You also! To answer your question about my ends, I don't! I had them included in the installation. I'm about to post about this now so that you can see...

Naturalmd - I am so pleased you enjoy the blog! don't get me started on the itching! I'm not good with the measurements but have tried to give an explanation in the post. :-)

Brenda - Thank you, I'm getting there... :-)

Oh Good! I'm so glad the two strand twists worked for you. For a long time I preferred it over braiding. Easy to do and undo.

For a finished/tucked look on the ends I knot them. Hard to explain, and the concept of knotting scares some folks, but it's just a way of tucking the ends under after you two strand twist. You can also use a rubber band.

Leighann, I loved it! I will give the bands a try the next time I twist. I really appreciate the tips :-)
