Right place, right time

I made it to the hairdressers for my third tightening session today. Whilst there I found myself envious of two people with SL's; my hairdresser and a lady waiting for retightening. Both women were sporting beautiful and healthy heads of Sisterlocks. I often find myself jealous of other's SL's as I read blogs, but this was my first in the flesh experience. I continue to love my hair and the decision I made to lock; my hairdresser also expressed her approval of the way my SL's are coming along, which was a bonus. I do wonder what my mature locks will look like, but I guess I'll have to wait and see...

I'm still on the wait and see plan. I've learned that's just how it is with locks. I guess it gets easier with time.

Patience, patience. I was there too, and then all of a sudden, there were people envious of my hair. Yup, my hair, with all its issues. People liked it, they wanted to touch it, they wanted to know how long until they could have it. Unbelieveable! I owe these people a lot -- I figured I should start liking it too!

Somewhere in between 18-24 months, most women have this experience.

I guess we all can't help waiting for our hair to look like anothers' whom we admire. I guess I actually didn't have that problem because I was really the only one I knew with them and I hadn't discoverd blogs back then. When you stop thinking about it, that's when it seems to just happen. And it WILL happen!

Words of wisdom indeed, from three ladies whose hair I admire :-)

I understand the envy... I envied Maryee's locs and set an appointment immediately to have mine installed... Then the waiting for maturity stage arrived and I kept my locs covered for the first six months...

be blessed in your waiting stage~

Wow Jen I didn't realise you'd kept your hair under cover; and now look, you have a wonderful head of locks.
I will be patient, I will be patient, I will be patient...

I'm still thinking anything is better than what I had. Detangling was making me not like my hair. So I loved my locks before I even got them. They are turning out way better than I was hoping for, but of course if they get half as big as Brunsli's I'll be I'm overjoyed.
