Although I actually quite liked the look of my hair in it's pre-tightened state; a fe
w locks were starting to bond with each other, so it was time for an appointment. What has surprised me looking at these before and after pics, is the fact that the parts no longer really show when my hair has been retightened. Apart from at the sides that is; it's still spacey there. I'd really like things to thicken up the
re and be a bit more like the back, where the parts are almost invisible now. Did anyone else have areas of their hair that took longer to develop than others?

Of course honey! I am so happy my edges are filling. It sure beats continuing to go bald there which is what would of happened had I kept on perming and using synthetic braids.
But you're looking mighty good with thickness as far as I can see.

Yep!! My hair is the same way. My back is much fuller than my top and definitely more fuller than my edges. I would have been bald by now as well if it weren't for going natural. I just hope my edges will forgive me and fill in more...hehehehe..

If you've read my previous posts, I've talked about the hair at the top, which has always been a challenge for me. The texture is different,more fragile and dry. Wearing braid extensions, pressing, perming, etc, has always yeilded a negative effect to that area.I guess I'm paying the price now.
Since sisterlocks, I am going through the process of ridding the damaged and unlockable hair on top, but growing in stronger hair at the roots. It is quite noticeable. I am pleased at this, but have to be patient in the process.

At first I thought I was the only one with that problem. My locks seem to be thicker and fuller in the back and I always wondered why that occured. Anyhow your locks are looking good!
Your locs look great! I think my hair is less dense or thinner in the crown. My edges are pretty full...I think b/c my SLs are smaller on the sides but it could be because of my texture.
