I think I have got this packing thing down to a fine art and I'm sure that he won't moan this time...
As I don't intend to do alot and I am hopeful of good weather, I think this will be sufficient (and not over indulgent):
- A selection of swimming costumes/bikinis (a 'selection' is usually unheard of for me, in fact, for the longest time I owned only one swimming costume and that mainly came out for aqua aerobics. So, I will indulge myself with this one; they are light and won't take up too much space!)
- 3 pairs of shorts - maybe I should take 4. Do you think 3 pairs are enough?
- 4 vests and 4 t-shirts
- 4 dresses
- A cardigan
- 2 pairs of flip flops, my Birkenstocks and my trainers(for the gym)
- A couple of workout outfits
That's not too much is it? In fact, I'm worried it's not enough...

What? No strappy sandals or stilettos?....
I packed no less than 6 bikinis that were interchangeable for about 20 different combos for my recent 8 day trip to Miami/Ft. Luderdale.
Plus 8 pairs of shoes, 4 skirts, 12 tanks, 8 halters, 2 pairs of shorts, 4 pairs of capris, and 2 dresses. So I AM NOT the one to ask.
I KNEW I wouldn't wear them all, but I wanted choices!!!
I kept saying, these items are small, they all fit in one suitcase! (Bikinis and beach tops take up ALMOST NO ROOM!)
But my goodness when I was schlepping it thru the airport, I suddenly had my regrets.
It's been a while since I've traveled and had to carry anything more than my own carry-on and purse. I'd forgotten THAT reason for economy in packing.
IF my case didn't have wheels, I wouldn't have survived it!
I have a method 2 outfits per day, 1 dressy dress, and shoes, shoes. Okay, I love shoes. I have a packing list, b/c I tend to be anal about not having everything I need and I have the days split up and the outfits assigned for each day. I always bring one extra outfit, for that just in case moment. Um, I didn't help ya with this? Hope you have a great time!
I'm lol, because you sound just like my sister Helga. She is always struggling to not overpack when taking a trip. On her recent trip to Norway, she even bought a book about packing the essentials. I do hope your packing was sucessful.
