103.9

No this is not the frequency for my favourite radio station; it is the price I paid per litre for petrol today. To say that I was a little irritated is an understatement; for the first time in my driving life, I am considering becoming a tube commuter.

Well Mel, it`s 101.9 at my local Tesco. Thankfully they are giving coupons for 5p off per litre so I have not had to pay that price as yet.

Whoa! That's over 8 dollars a gallon. And I thought 3.97 dollars per gallon was an outrage.

Kathryn, I am going to Tesco today! I paid the 103.9 at BP as I didn't have the time to detour to the supermarket - I won't be doing that again.

Brunsli, it is outrageous. I'll have to start driving to Switzerland to fill up :-)

WOWSER!! And here I am complaining about $3.09 per gallon. I wish I had the patience to take the bus but I would have to get up an hour early just to arrive to work barely on time....sigh...

Ok, wait, stupid question: 103...pounds and 9...pence??? Oi.

What I don`t understand is if the dollar is so weak against the pound and petrol is actually sold in dollars why are we still paying such extortionate amounts. I am reducing the amount of journeys I make by car,ie going to the supermarket on my way home from work instead of making an extra journey. Telling my daughters to get up close and personal with the bus! Oh and doing christmas shopping online instead of driving into town.

You'll all be pleased to know, I used my coupon and paid 96.9 for my petrol yesterday!
But, why can't it just be 96.9? Why do I have to have a coupon!!!
